Mara made her debut at Carnegie Hall this fall with the New England Symphonic Ensemble as the soprano soloist in Vivaldi's Gloria and Rutter's Requiem. She spent the summer of 2001 with Opera Aegean performing throughout Athens and the Greek Isles. Other past performances include Giannetta in The Elixir of Love with Mozart & Friends Opera Festival, Lady Silverpeal in Mozart's one-act opera Der Schauspieldirektor with Ridge Light Opera, Lucia in Lucia di Lammamoor for Bohème Opera's educational outreach production, and Ophelia in Hamlet by Thomas with the Shakespeare Opera Institute of Connecticut.

2003 performances include Juliet from Romeo & Juliet with The Shakespeare Opera Institute of Connecticut, Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte with Lyric Opera New York, and the European tour of "The Four Divas".
